Topeak E-Booster Digital – $129.95 MSRP
Topeak sez:
Spot on spec weight
PEZ sez: I’m sure many PEZ readers are old enough to remember carrying a full-size frame pump (Silca being the classic standard) for roadside flat repair. And I’m sure many PEZ readers remember this use of a frame pump in Breaking Away.
Mini-pumps and CO2 cartridges have largely replaced full-size frame pumps. But neither are “perfect” solutions. Mini-pumps can sometimes take inordinately long to pump up a tire (especially if it’s a large volume tire). CO2 cartridges are largely “one and done” single use so if you have a second flat (not that that’s every happened to any of us … ever), you’re basically out of luck (there’s always Uber).
Now you have another option: a small (enough to fit in a jersey pocket) electric pump. The E-Booster Digital is Topeak’s such offering.
What you get: (1) soft storage bag, (2) silicone case, (3) E-Booster Digital electric pump, (4) waterproof bag, (5) USB-C to USB-A charging cable, and (6) extender hose (for use with TPU inner tubes) NOTE: Topeak recommends using the extender hose regardless to ensure a good seal and protect the valve.
USB-C charging port
Using the Topeak E-Booster Digital is relatively easy:
- Charge it up (Topeak says 45 minutes, but the one PEZ got came fully charged)
- Turn it on by holding the power button down for 2 seconds
- Use the selector switch for Presta or Schrader valve
- Attach the E-Booster Digital to the valve
- Press the power button briefly to start inflating
- Press the power button briefly to stop inflating
- Press and hold the power button down for 2 seconds to turn off (or it will turn off automatically after 10 seconds)
Be aware that the Topeak E-Booster Digital heats up when used (the silicone case makes it easier to hold). If you’re inflating TPU inner tubes, use the valve extender to prevent melting the resin valve. And Topeak recommends waiting 5 minutes between uses to let E-Booster Digital cool down sufficiently.
1 – power button, 2 – battery charge indicator, 3 – tire pressure adjustment, 4 – tire pressure (PSI, BAR, or KG/CM) display
One cool thing I like about the Topeak E-Booster Digital is that you can pre-set the tire pressure for inflation and it will stop when it reaches the desired pressure. Simply:
- Turn the unit on
- Use the +/- to adjust to the desired tire pressure
- After you reach the tire pressure you want, stop and the display will re-set to zero after 3 seconds
Selector switch for Presta or Schrader
I deflated a 700×30 (tubeless) tire to test out the Topeak E-Booster Digital electric pump. (NOTE: For tubeless tires, Topeak says to inflate with the valve positioned horizontally, i.e., 3 o’clock or 9 o’clock position, to prevent sealant from entering the pump head and causing damage to it.) With the tire pressure set to 60 psi, it took right around 60 seconds to fully inflate. Based on the table below, a fully-charged E-Booster Digital should provide at least 3 full inflations (I’m guesstimating 4 is probably not unreasonable and 5 might be possible).
The ability to inflate to a desired pressure is a game-changer. Not something you can do with either a hand pump or a CO2 cartridge. I’ll probably still carry a CO2 cartridge (for emergency use only), but will be ditching my mini-pump for the Topeak E-Booster Digital electric pump!
The Topeak E-Booster Digital isn’t that much bigger than a couple of CO2 cartridges
New Canyon Ultimate and Endurance Bikes Adopt Pace Bar Handlebar Tech from the Aeroad
- New modular cockpit system increases comfort options and allows Ultimate and Endurace riders to add aero extensions, phone mounts or in-line computer mounts.
- Artwork updates for both models, plus saddle clamp change and TX25 thru-axle tools on the Ultimate add further enhancements.
Standing for Performance Adaptive Cockpit Ecosystem, Canyon’s PACE Bar is designed to unlock performance options for riders and bring in a broader fit range through innovative cockpit modularity. The PACE Bar was initially launched on Canyon’s award-winning Aeroad in 2024 and it’s now available on the Canyon Ultimate, the brand’s lightweight climbing bike, and the Endurace, Canyon’s endurance-focused road bike.
Whilst the PACE Bar allows for accessories to be easily mounted, or drops to be swapped, that means different things for different riders.
- For Endurace riders, the range of comfort options offered by the PACE Bar can be game changing. The aero drops provide ergonomic options with a 19 deg. flare and 50 mm of width adjustment together with the T-Bar. Riders also now get 5 mm of extra height adjustment compared to the CP0018 predecessor, giving riders 20 mm of adjustment in total. Plus riders can neatly mount extension bars on the Gear Groove for further comfort over distance.
- For Ultimate riders, the PACE Bar’s aero drops allows for enhanced aerodynamics and watt savings versus the CP0018 cockpit by reducing the rider’s frontal surface area. The shallower 105 mm aero drops (vs the 130 mm Classic drop) allow riders to ride in the drops for longer. Also the Aero Drops have a longer reach (+10mm) both of which allow riders to maintain a more aerodynamic position. Plus, the new Gear Groove interface provides a solid platform for mounting a range of accessories quickly, from aero bars to computer mounts (available separately).
New Saddle Clamp for the Ultimate
For this facelift Canyon also updated the saddle clamp to the new clamping mechanism which allows riders to adjust their saddle tilt and setback individually. Combined with a D-shaped seatpost, it reduces air resistance in the seat tube area to an absolute minimum.
TX25 screws and new emergency tool
The Ultimate’s removable thru-axle lever doubles up as a TX25 tool that now fits almost every screw across the Ultimate. The six-point star shape allows more torque to be applied without fear of rounding off the screw and means you only need one simple tool for any adjustment on the road. Plus the tool clips discreetly into the wheel axle when it’s not in use.
New Artwork Concept
Slight adjustments to the artwork concepts of the Ultimate and Endurace ensure that they perfectly complement Canyon’s classic and iconic design. From the single-colored CF versions and the sparkling SLX versions to the CFR artworks that reflect the lightness of these bikes, each design element enhances the overall performance and endurance aesthetic.
Availability
The Ultimate comes in 6 models, from the CFR Di2 or CFR AXS at €9,999 to the CF 7 at €2,499, plus a frameset and brake kit option at €4,999.
The Endurace comes in 8 models, from the CFR Di2 or AXS at €8,999 to the CF 6 option at €1,799. The PACE Bar is used on the Endurace CF SLX 7, SLX 8 and CFR models.

The flagship road race performance shoe is designed to deliver, featuring an all-new ergonomic shape and integrated carbon sole
fizik has unveiled the all-new Vega Carbon, its latest lightweight, powerful, and innovative racing road shoe, designed for riders seeking top-tier performance. Designed from the sole up, the Vega Carbon features a host of innovative advancements, including an updated anatomical shape, strategically mapped materials, and an integrated outsole.
A Natural, New Shape

This highly stiff design places the foot closer to the pedal, maximising power transfer and delivering a more natural feeling while pedalling.
Fabrics and Features
Utilizing fizik’s Aeroweave PRO woven fabric coupled with a thin translucent mesh for improved breathability and weight saving while also retaining tenacity. By strategically mapping materials and utilizing distinct materials in specific areas, Vega Carbon ensures exceptional performance without compromise, making it the ideal choice for intense, high-output rides.
Featuring a foot-wrapping bootie made of perforated Airprene material ensures greater comfort and a pressure-free fit for improved comfort and stability.
Cyclists can fine-tune their fit with a Dual-Dial Li2 BOA® Fit System that allows for separate adjustments between the instep and midfoot areas.
fizik’s Senior Product Manager, Alex Locatelli, said: “With the Vega Carbon, we wanted to deliver the highest level of performance without compromising rider comfort. This is why we have redesigned the shape and the ergonomics of the shoe to offer cyclists a more natural riding feeling while also retaining the level of stiffness provided by the carbon sole.”

Pas Normal Studios Launches SS25 T.K.O. Collection: A Dance Between Motion and Sound
Copenhagen-based premium cycling apparel label Pas Normal Studios unveils its SS25 T.K.O. collection, a bold tribute to the rhythm, motion and emotional tempo of riding. Launching on Wednesday, 21 May 2025, this season’s T.K.O. capsule draws inspiration from the euphoric energy of music and the journeys we make, both through sound and across landscapes.
More than a visual concept, the SS25 T.K.O. collection is an ode to the unseen patterns that connect a beat to the body, a route to a memory. A moment on the bike that feels like a favourite song; layered, rhythmic, and personal. The collection captures this dynamic spirit through vibrant colourways, glitch-inspired design elements and purposeful construction.
“This SS25 T.K.O. collection is about motion and sound. We wanted to visualise the various stages that the body and mind reflect during a ride by emphasising what we listen to. Something I believe is both expressive and deeply personal.” Karl-Oskar Olsen, creative director, Pas Normal Studios.
The line includes a full performance offering for both men and women:

Strava Unveils Suite of New Subscriber Features
Strava’s latest tools help subscribers train better, explore more, and compete fairly.
Strava, the app for active people, today unveiled a suite of updates to help subscribers power their summer adventures. Whether chasing a personal best on familiar roads or discovering new trails while traveling, these features give users smarter, community-powered tools to explore and compete with confidence.
Explore with Community-backed Confidence
These updates blend on-the-go flexibility with community-driven reliability, making Strava the most dynamic and dependable routing tool for any activity, all in one place.
- New Routes Experience: Updated AI-powered Routes offer smarter, intuitive suggestions by leveraging Strava’s Global Heatmap so subscribers can run, ride, or walk like locals wherever they go. Available in the Maps tab, Routes now provide greater flexibility and reliability, letting users generate community-backed routes from their current location or any custom starting point.
- Tappable Points of Interest: Points of Interest—like cafés, restrooms, or viewpoints—now enable subscribers to tap and discover more information and instantly generate a route directly there or suggest routes that include that POI. Available in June, Tappable Points of Interest will provide key details like elevation, distance, and estimated time to arrival, all enriched by photos from the community within the Maps tab in the Strava mobile app.
- Point-to-Point Routing: This feature delivers the most efficient, activity-specific route from A to B—powered by Strava’s new Routes engine and informed by the Global Heatmap. Starting in July, simply drop a pin and go with point-to-point routing on mobile.
Chase PRs and Leaderboards, Fairly
Strava is reinforcing its commitment to helping athletes compete fairly and perform at their best. The following updates allow users to push harder this summer, with the confidence that leaderboards reflect true performances:
- Even more Live Segments: With the latest upgrade to the model that captures popular segments globally, athletes can continue chasing personal bests in real-time across double the number of popular live segments. While available to all users, subscribers can discover and compete on these popular new segments with added features, including additional screens with comparison metrics.
- Fair Leaderboards: As part of Strava’s ongoing efforts to uphold fair and legitimate leaderboards, the company is continuing to advance the application of its machine learning model (launched in February) to reprocess the top 10 spots on ride and run leaderboards. This effort has removed 4.45 million activities with the wrong sport type or recorded in vehicles so far, helping to rightfully restore KOMs and QOMs to reflect true performances.
